PayPal Settings Required for IBSoftShop Managers


The PayPal settings discussed in the video tutorial below are required of all IBSoftShop managers. These settings are required for your IBSoftShop payment / product delivery system to work properly. The changes are simple and only require a few minutes of your time.

Please watch the video in its entirety before making any changes to your PayPal account. When finished with this video, use the link provided below the video to open a second browser session where you'll log in to your PayPal account and follow each step of the check list.

If you're connected to the internet on a high speed connection, this video should come up fairly quickly. If you're using a dial-up connection, you'll have to be patient and wait a few minutes for the video to load.

PayPal Settings Step-by-Step:

STEP 1: Log In to Your PayPal Account ~ CLICK HERE to Launch a New Browser Session for PayPal.

STEP 2: Navigate to Your PayPal Profile Page

Click on the "Profile" link in the medium-blue colored navigation bar.
STEP 3: Navigate to the "Website Payment Preferences" Page
You'll see three columns of links on your "Profile Summary" page. The link that you want is in the far right column under the header "Selling Preferences". About three quarters of the way down the list of links in the far right column is a link titled "Website Payment Preferences". Click this link.

NOTE: If you do not see the "Website Payment Preferences" link option, go back to your PayPal account summary page (the first page that you see after logging in) and look for a link titled "Upgrade Account". Click this link and follow the instructions to ugrade your account to either a "Premier" or "Business" account. This will enable the website payment preferences.
STEP 4: Set Your Preferences on the "Website Payment Preferences" Page
This page allows you to set 5 different variables or preferences for your PayPal account. The changes that you make on this page will not negatively affect your use of PayPal on other websites. The settings are required for your IBSoftShop payment / product delivery system to work properly. Each setting should be as follows:

  • Autoreturn for Website Payments: ON

    Return URL = Your SoftShop IP Address with "http://" in front of it.

    Example:
    IF your SoftShop IP address were: 64.192.220.95
    The URL to enter would be: http://64.192.220.95

    NOTE: Your IBSoftShop IP address IS NOT 69.44.15.XZY. This "example" IP address was included in everyone's original manager's license since IP's were not assigned until after you registered for your SoftShop.

  • Payment Data Transfer: OFF

  • Ecrypted Website Payments: OFF

  • PayPal Account Optional: ON

  • Contact Phone Number: OFF

STEP 5: Save Your "Website Payment Preferences"
Click the "Save" button in the bottom right corner of this page to save your preferences.
